The first VPX Widnes was a fantastic day. It’s been a great pleasure to have been part of assisting with it coming to Widnes. I hope this is the first of many. Well done to Karen and Vicky the PCSOs who ran with the idea to bring VPX to Widnes and spent hours organising it;Tony who started it off in Warrington and brought his experience here to help Widnes VPX. Fantastic effort from all the local sports clubs, Halton Council’s Sports Development Team and Events Team, the Police, Fire Service, the Vikings, face painters, characters, all the volunteers and everyone else that put the effort in to make today happen.
It was lovely to see kids and families enjoying all the free activities on offer. I spent all day there and took along my 7 year old son who thoroughly enjoyed it.
